Google Gears the way of the future or just another Fluke?

Saturday, August 29th, 2009

Gears is a plug-in that extends your browser to create a richer platform for web applications. For example, webmasters can use Gears on their websites to let users access information offline or provide you with content based on your geographical location. To install Gears, visit http://gears.google.com

Gears was designed to be used on both Google and non-Google sites. A number of web applications currently make use of Gears, including two Google products: Google Reader and Google Docs. Additionally, Zoho and Remember the Milk have been using Gears since its original launch. If you’re running Windows Mobile on your cellphone, Picasa Web Albums also makes use of Gears.

If you’re a developer interested in utilizing Gears on your site, visit the Gears developer site for more information.

Graffiti in New Britain Needs a legal wall

Saturday, August 29th, 2009

Reall Graffiti writers have an unspoken code about where and when to paint a certain spot. While TOY WRITERS WRITE EVERY WHERE ON ANYTHING THEY WANT AND THINK THEY ARE COOL WHILE REALLY JUST MAKING THINGS HOT FOR ALL THE WIRITERS WITH ACTUAL TALENT! THAT IS A TOY!

While what I like to call Neighborhood Writers aka TOYS write on ANYTHING ANYWHERE! this is not acceptable in a city such as New Britain, Connecticut
It is the toys that leave the true eye sores and straight vandalism. Painting and Marking Traffic Signs, HIghways (including underpasses, Overhanging Highway Signs, etc.) these people actuallu run through the highways  Store fronts, Vehicles, Historical Items, etc. What are all the cameras around to for? I would imgine we could make a pretty good graff video with all the wasted footage.
How can there be so few arrestes when there is blatant graffiti popping up everywhere.

Coming from the culture in the late 80’s early 90’s when graff was real! we had morals! We would seek out a “LEGAL WALL” in which we can paint and most of all not break the law doing art! The toys seem to get better and many writers grow up to be be great artist in a proffesional field.

The problem is we need a legal wall like the one on Arch Street about 10 15 years ago. The cities graffiti problem almost ceased to exist due to the fact that graf was contained on designated legal walls.. Let me remind you thr art that goes on “LEGAL WALLS” is many times worthy of gallery exposure. and the toys seem to stay away from the rest of the city to practice and leardh the proper way.
With dowtown New Britain finaly getting the renovation it needs now is the time to incorporate legal walls! the town would be surprised at th drop in toy, eyesore vandalism.

It has worked all around the united states. and if by chance a toy did vandalize a restricted area the locals would be sure to turn them in.

Even if the wall was to have membership and sign up fees it would be a great success! mark my words from exp.
